Our Wonderful House & Yard!

The Long-Anticipated Grill and Hardwood Kitchen Floor

February 2005 joyously brought JB the deal he'd been waiting for on a big new gas grill and both of us the chance to get rid of the disgusting white-turned-dingy-no-matter-how-hard-you-scrub vinyl on our kitchen floor. We put in the same hardwood that is in our foyer:

New Deck Accoutrements and Crazy Weather!

The weekend of February 22nd, 2004 was so warm that we wanted to be outside, enjoying our deck. We built a picnic table, assembled our new porch swing, and basked in the almost 70º sun...

Four days later on February 26th, we had the biggest snow since we moved here!!! Ah, winter in the South...

Our New Deck!

JB originally designed and planned to build it for us, but he just doesn't have the free time; so, he contacted several contractors, and Innovative Woodworks bid to build JB's design with an added arbor for a porch swing and planter box for a price we couldn't refuse. October 6-8, 2003, in just two and a half days, (instead of two months of weekends on our own,) they did a fantastic job, saved us a world of time and exhaustion, and we are just thrilled.

Two shots merged to show the row of 6 leyland cyprus down the back left side,
the yoshino cherry in the middle, & the grove of 3 leyland cyprus on the right diagonal fence

The Great Easter Landscape 2003!

JB's parents came through to visit, and we completely revamped the whole yard!
