March 2006 - Moving In
|
| We LOVE this house and
neighborhood. Stylistically, think Rainbow Row in Charleston, SC! (Of
course, we would find a touch of Southerness up here to feel at home!) Our
new neighborhood is very colorful, and everything is in such close
proximity ~ including an incredible park right across our little street
for Will to play in (see below) and a Cold Stone Creamery right at the front of the
neighborhood (maybe a 5 minute walk!) to make us all happy! |

The house: we locked in before the last interior decisions were made, so
we got to choose the hardwoods, fixtures, carpet, etc. - a very nice,
extra touch to make it feel even more like ours. Eric Richards, an
incredibly talented designer and close family friend, came up from NC to help turn the place immediately into a home, instead of a stark,
white collection of blah rooms and cardboard moving boxes. He was AMAZING!
In three days, it looked like we had been in here for six months!
